Renovation

As a carpenter and General Contractor of many decades, I finally had the opportunity to renovate and build my own home. Our system currently allows (and is predicated on) the efficient disposal of all manner of material and equipment. All without regard for the condition of what is being thrown away, and the environmental consequence that this practice has on the planet. I wanted to do it another way. Not an overly burdensome commitment, not a maniacal puritan approach, just a small step in the right direction. I committed to incorporate elements of recycled materials and equipment into the build and use local sources and manufacturers as a resource wherever reasonably possible.
